My lawyer sit's down and we talk. I run him through the situation. He tells me that he's down to fight the system If I want because I feel that paying $360 to the state of new york for something that we didn't really do is bullshit!
I tell him that if we just keep coming in they just put the case off for another month and I'm down to do that! FIGHT FER YOUR RIGHTS! He agrees and says that there's a good chance we can get it dropped if they just keep having it put off further and further.
The judge laughed when we pleaded not guilty. Then realized we were quite serious and upon meeting with the lawyer at the stand cut us a deal - Taking the $100 bail that was posted and making that the cost of the ticket. We made the smart decision and took the deal instead of fighting this for months on end.... We still sorta won!
